RUMOUR: Chelsea Set to Move for Lewandowski
Chelsea could move for Bayern’s Lewandowski as Lukaku hope fades
In a summer transfer window of blockbuster signings, Chelsea have been rather quiet after clinching the Premier League title.
Theories include the kit sponsor transition and quarrelling between Antonio Conte and the board, but that could all be about to be forgotten if the Blues follow through with interest in Bayern Munich hitman Robert Lewandowski.
The Mirror reports that Chelsea are looking to capitalise on a fallout between the Poland striker and the club due to a lack of support from his team and manager Carlo Ancelotti in pursuit of the top goal scorer title.
A record of 77 goals in 96 Bundesliga games since signing from Borussia Dortmund in 2014 makes the 28-year-old an attractive alternative to Romelu Lukaku due to Everton’s lofty £100 million price tag.
All these are rumours as of now.
